When the third Sex and the City movie was canceled, it was reworked into a limited series (that eventually became three seasons), where we met three of the ladies years later as they were entering a new phase in life and trying to make sense of ”woke” trends.

Kim Cattrall was sorely missed, refusing to do anything other than a brief cameo in season two, and the series faced frequent hostility from critics and an audience who had loved its predecessor and hated what Carrie and her friends had turned into.

The show illustrated this generation’s bumbling attempt to understand a new world, which made it relevant and amusing… but also dumb and annoying at times.
