Final Destination: Bloodlines

DEATH RUNS IN THE FAMILY.

College student Stefani Reyes (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) has recurring nightmares about death coming for diners at the 1969 opening of a tower restaurant; soon, she realizes that her family is in danger.

It took 14 years for this sixth chapter in the franchise to emerge, but it’s a breath of fresh air. Featuring the same kind of cheesy, outrageously gory effects as the predecessors, the film has creative, entertaining kills, starting with that elaborate opening sequence up in the sky where one little incident quickly gets a diabolical chain reaction.

The characters? Truly expendable.

2025-U.S. 110 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Zach Lipovsky, Adam Stein. Cast: Kaitlyn Santa Juana (Stefani Reyes), Teo Briones (Charlie Reyes), Richard Harmon (Erik Campbell), Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Tony Todd.

Trivia: Todd’s final film.
