Y’ALL NEED A PILOT?

U.S. Marshal Madolyn Harris (Michelle Dockery) is transporting a mob informant (Topher Grace) to Anchorage on a small aircraft, not realizing that the hired pilot (Mark Wahlberg) is a hitman.

Mel Gibson’s first film as a director in a decade is his most conventional yet, an action-thriller with a promising high-concept idea. Never dull, and it’s nice to see a genre film that knows how to wrap things up at the right time; there are enjoyably schlocky moments here, including Wahlberg as the psychotic killer.

However, too much in the script is just plain dumb.
