YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT DREAMS… YOU KNOW NOTHING!
John Doe (Shon Greenblatt), one of the teens who have survived Freddy Krueger’s (Robert Englund) murder spree in Springwood, Ohio, returns to the town together with a psychiatrist (Lisa Zane) and a few other teens.
The sixth and worst film in the franchise has little to offer, except 3D effects and a few cameos. Too much silliness (as in a sequence where Freddy’s playing video games) and not enough bright ideas or genuine scares.
In spite of Freddy’s party tricks, boredom sets in.
1991-U.S. 89 min. Color. Directed by Rachel Talaley. Cast: Lisa Zane (Maggie Burroughs), Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Lezlie Deane (Tracy Swan), Shon Greenblatt (John Doe), Breckin Meyer, Ricky Dean Logan, Yaphet Kotto… Johnny Depp, Tom Arnold, Roseanne Barr, Alice Cooper.
Trivia: Followed by Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994).
