The camp on Crystal Lake has been shut down, but the one next to it is welcoming new teenagers who are about to learn that Mrs. Vorhees’s son has inherited her vicious streak.

The first film in the series to feature Jason Vorhees as the killer, even though he has yet to find his iconic hockey mask.

The sole survivor from the first film is sacrificed in the prologue, and there are a few deliciously bloody effects, but the film is a complete bore and the final shock a lame rehash.
