IF ONLY YOU WERE DEAD.

On their one-year anniversary, Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland) takes Liz (Tatiana Maslany) out to a cabin in the woods, but she’s soon tormented by strange visions.

One of two disappointing horror movies that Osgood Perkins directed in 2025; at least, The Monkey was more fun. The film takes place in a very familiar location for this genre, building its uncomfortable atmosphere without ever offering much in terms of scares.

The bizarre finale has its effective moments, including that last grim shot, but overall this is a slow, pretentious film.
