YOUR TABLE IS WAITING.
When his beloved mother dies, Joe Scaravella (Vince Vaughn) invests everything he’s got into a restaurant where the traditional dishes are prepared by actual grandmothers, nonnas.
Based on the true story of a restaurant in Staten Island and how much effort that went into creating that place, it’s a very likable drama-comedy where a group of feisty and very different nonnas battle it out and learn to love and respect each other in the kitchen.
Formulaic and stereotypical, but cast and direction make a difference, including Vaughn in the lead.
