Will and Elizabeth (Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley) are about to marry when they suddenly find themselves facing the death penalty as well as getting mixed up again with Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
Expect sword fights, one-liners, betrayals, sea monsters, undead pirates and high spirits… but unfortunately, in terms of quality, this sequel looks more like The Mummy Returns than The Empire Strikes Back.
Depp is fun, the action entertaining in the way comic books are… but on the whole it’s way overlong and there are no real surprises.
