EVEN ROBBERS GET ROBBED.
After a racetrack heist gone wrong, professional thief Parker (Mark Wahlberg) gets involved with an attempt to steal treasure from a shipwreck.
Donald E. Westlake’s books about Parker have been filmed many times before; this one simply borrows the character and puts him in a typical Shane Black scenario, complete with a Christmas setting, laughs and bloody action. The best way to enjoy the movie? Forget about the story and the chase for its MacGuffin; the wild action, wintry cinematography and cast provide enough fun.
Alan Silvestri’s traditional music score is a pleasant fit.
