PLAYTIME JUST GOT REAL.
Accountant Brian Jennings (Kevin James) tries to bond with both his stepson (Benjamin Pajak) and another stay-at-home dad, Jeff Eamon (Alan Ritchson), and his kid (Banks Pierce)… but something is off.
That’s not all that’s off in this action-comedy that frequently tries to come across as playfully kooky, but has no idea how to find the right hilarious tone (which is strange considering the writer’s sitcom past).
Alan Tudyk playing an Elon Musk-type villain is a missed opportunity, but then this is a movie that’s idiotic from start to finish.
