20-year-old François (Philippe Marlaud) is hopelessly in love with Anne (Marie Rivière); one day, he starts following a pilot she’s been sleeping with – and gets unexpected help.
Éric Rohmer’s first film in his ”Comedies & Proverbs” series is thin, but was nevertheless admired by critics at the time. You won’t really find an aviator’s wife here, but two annoying leading characters.
A more engaging part of the film is Anne-Laure Meury’s cute performance as the 15-year-old who becomes François’s partner-in-crime.
