FEAR COMES FULL CIRCLE.

After the horrific events in Seattle, Rachel Keller and son (Naomi Watts, David Dorfman) move to a small town but they can’t escape Samara the ghost.

The man who made the Japanese original directed this sequel (but, I should add, it’s not a remake of the original sequel) that often succumbs to silliness. But Hideo Nakata knows how to create a scary environment and the engaging performances by Watts and young Dorfman compensate for a lot.

Best sequence: an absurd but eerie encounter with a deer.
