THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO BELIEVE WHAT SHE SAW.

Journalist Laura Blacklock (Keira Knightley), who’s covering a trip to Norway on board a superyacht, sees a woman fall into the ocean… but all the passengers are accounted for and nobody believes her.

This adaptation of the crime novel has more or less a perfect running time, but still feels sluggish as Laura struggles to solve the mystery and find out who’s lying.

The story gets increasingly preposterous near the end, but the cast is fine, the Norwegian scenery gorgeous, and the film offers a (mostly) authentic peek into a superyacht.
