¡Three Amigos!

THEY’RE DOWN ON THEIR LUCK AND UP TO THEIR NECKS IN SEÑORITAS, MARGARITAS, BANDIDOS, AND BULLETS!

In 1916, three actors (Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short) who are famous for playing gunfighters in movies, are hired by a woman looking to find heroes to save her Mexican village from bandits.

The three amigos, especially Chase, carry much of this comedy as actors who know how to put on a glittering show, but certainly can’t stop criminals in real life. A merry flirt with The Magnificent Seven (1962) that’s having a lot of fun with its ”fish-out-of-water” concept.

Uneven story, but plenty of charm saves it – which is probably one reason why its status has improved over the years.
