After losing his brother in Afghanistan, a staff sergeant (Alan Ritchson) joins the Army Rangers, only to end up in a mission where the danger is literally out of this world.

Much of the story has constant battles between 81’s quickly diminishing rangers and the alien war machine. The beginning is clichéd, and the ending promises a gung-ho continuation and expansion that would only ruin what’s good about this sci-fi/action movie.

Thrilling at times… but why would an alien fighter look like a clunky, mechanical ED-209?
