SIT BACK. RELAX. ENJOY THE FRIGHT.
FBI agent Nelville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) is escorting a witness to a mob murder on a flight to L.A., only to learn it is loaded with hundreds of poisonous snakes high on pheromones.
Perhaps the first non-franchise movie to have become an online phenomenon before anyone even saw it. There’s a streak of cruelty in how passengers are killed by the snakes, but the film as a whole is tongue-in-cheek.
Best enjoyed if you check logic at the door. Jackson plays it (mostly) straight and his authority is a welcome ingredient.
2006-U.S. 105 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by David R. Ellis. Cast: Samuel L. Jackson (Nelville Flynn), Julianna Margulies (Claire Miller), Nathan Phillips (Sean Jones), Rachel Blanchard, Flex Alexander, Kenan Thompson, Lin Shaye, Bobby Cannavale… Taylor Kitsch.
Quote: “Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!” (Jackson)
