Resident Evil: Apocalypse

MY NAME IS ALICE AND I REMEMBER EVERYTHING.

Alice (Milla Jovovich), who survived the troubles inside The Hive, now fights to live another day in Raccoon City that lies on top of the doomed facility; the whole place is contaminated.

More zombies and shootouts in the dark corners of a nightmarish future world; the filmmakers clearly want us to see them as both a new George Romero and James Cameron.

OK action scenes, and the brutal character of Nemesis is fun, but this is also much too unimaginative, silly and poorly acted.

2004-Germany-France-U.K. 94 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Alexander Witt. Screenplay: Paul W.S. Anderson. Cast: Milla Jovovich (Alice), Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine), Oded Fehr (Carlos Olivera), Jared Harris, Thomas Kretschmann, Sophie Vavasseur.

Trivia: Co-produced by Anderson. A role was written for Snoop Dogg, but he dropped out. Followed by Resident Evil: Extinction (2007).
