BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR…

When ”Bear” Bailey (Michael Johnston) buys a novelty toy that grants him one wish, he makes it about a friend (Inde Navarrette) falling in love with him… and gets a lot more than he bargained for.

YouTuber Curry Barker’s first film for theaters was a box-office smash, a wild ride that goes all in when it comes to shocks and laughs. The film takes a familiar formula and comes up with a terrifying version of a ”clingy girlfriend”; Navarrette is enjoyably over-the-top, and the lighting helps make her scary at times.

But neither the horror nor the comedy is all that satisfying.
