Sydney (Neve Campbell) has settled down in an Indiana small town together with her husband and teen daughter when another Ghostface calls her, posing as a long-dead killer from the past.

The sixth chapter was a breath of fresh air, but Kevin Williamson’s return to the franchise means business as usual in terms of locations and ideas. Campbell and Courteney Cox are always welcome back, but the younger cast makes no difference.

AI is introduced as a new tool for evil, but the story is lackluster and slapdash.
