AVERAGE
Perhaps the reason why this sci-fi adventure series became a pop-culture phenomenon was a longing for a simpler kind of Star Wars that offered thrills and charm, often lasting not much longer than 35 minutes per episode.
The puppet character of Grogu, often called Baby Yoda, became another reason to watch the show, a lovable infant that turned out a perfect sidekick to the titular Mandalorian, a bounty hunter who was initially hired to find Grogu. Over three seasons, they battled what was left of the Empire (after Return of the Jedi (1983)).
Zappy entertainment, even if energy was beginning to wane in the last season; brilliant theme music by Ludwig Göransson and a colorful supporting cast added to the fun.
