LET THEM TRY.

Asia Reaves (Zazie Beetz) arrives at the storied Virgil building in New York City, posing as a new maid; she has ulterior motives, but quickly learns that a satanic cult dominates the Virgil.

A horror-comedy that borrows from Tarantino, as well as Ready or Not (2019) and Rosemary’s Baby (1968). Shot on a soundstage in South Africa, there isn’t much here that reminds one of New York City, but what’s worse is the film’s lack of entertainment value.

OK of its type, but never particularly scary, funny or clever.
