WHERE PRIDE BEGAN.
In the late 1960s, a gay Indiana boy (Jeremy Irvine) gets thrown out of his home and comes to New York City where he becomes involved with the crowd attending Stonewall Inn.
When Roland Emmerich went from making disaster movies to this serious drama the results became a different kind of disaster, clichéd and dull.
The Stonewall riots that led to the Pride movement is seen through the eyes of a pretty young man who gets to be the one who throws the first brick, while the real heroes of the riot take a back seat.
