LOOK OUT.

After being introduced in Superman (2025), the hard-partying Kara got her own spinoff movie, where she finds the right mission to start giving a damn about things and resurrect her inner Supergirl.

An adaptation of the comic book ”Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”, the story echoes True Grit (1969) and has Kara dealing with a childhood trauma. This darker tone lends the film a murky, often visually unappealing look.

A mediocre adventure doesn’t help, even if a sense of humor and Milly Alcock’s charm compensate.
