When a shepherd (Hugh Jackman) in an English village is found murdered, his sheep decide to put their crime-solving talents to the test.

A German novel is filmed, but its Irish setting has been changed to England. Still, we have the same talking sheep and a number of human suspects. A likable, funny feel-good mystery for kids and adults.

The murder case may be nothing special, but the rural setting and the cast are delightful, including Emma Thompson as a sharp-tongued lawyer and Nicholas Braun as a lovably dim-witted copper who needs a little help to solve the case.
