Lea and Rocco (Pilar Fogliati, Adriano Giannini) meet in a bar and embark on an affair, even though they’re both married; soon, Lea starts crossing lines.
This may sound like a new Fatal Attraction (1987), and for a while the film seems headed in that direction, until Lea’s strategy becomes more complicated. It’s a romantic drama about infidelity where there are no villains, only flawed human beings.
In her directing debut, veteran screenwriter Ludovica Rampoldi crafts a seductive story that flirts with clichés, but has more to offer in its examination of marriages under pressure.
