THE NEXT CHAPTER IS ALWAYS THE BEST.
Four friends (Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen) have had a book club for the past 30 years, but the latest literary choice, ”Fifty Shades of Grey”, turns their lives upside down.
A romantic comedy for mature audiences in the vein of Nancy Meyers, complete with fabulous performances by four stars. They are ably supported by a bunch of attractive guys; star power is exactly what this film needs, considering how few genuine laughs there are and the predictability of the script. Still, a pleasant enough diversion.
Side note: the copious amount of wine is meant to symbolize ”relaxed fun”, but is starting to look more like addiction…
