UNMASK THE TRUTH.
When the mayor of Gotham City is found murdered, there’s a message attached to his body intended for Batman (Robert Pattinson).
A stand-alone Batman movie that almost reaches the heights of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, a three-hour detective story where a young and gloomy Dark Knight joins forces with Gotham’s only good cop (Jeffrey Wright) and a vindictive cat burglar (Zoë Kravitz) in the hunt for a serial killer.
There’s no end to the rain and many ingredients are indeed very familiar… but this is still a darkly compelling action-thriller, boosted by fine performances, Michael Giacchino’s superb score and themes rooted in the real world.

Last word: “In the process of writing the movie, I watched Good Time, and I thought, ‘Okay, he’s got an inner kind of rage that connects with this character and a dangerousness, and I can feel this desperation.’ And I became dead-set on it being [Robert Pattinson]. And I had no idea if Rob had any interest! Because, of course, he had done all of these indie movies after he established himself in Twilight. […] He’d heard that we were doing this and got excited about the idea that there was going to be another version of this character. And so when I met him, and he read the script, we talked for a long, long time and I realised, ‘This guy is a massive fan’.” (Reeves, Esquire)
