When one of Ben Gates’s (Nicolas Cage) ancestors is revealed to have been part of the Abraham Lincoln assassination plot, the historian/adventurer and his friends try to clear his name.

A surprisingly entertaining sequel that reunites the Cage/Jon Voight/Diane Kruger/Justin Bartha team and delivers the same kind of adventure for history and conspiracy buffs that we were served in the first film.

Never dull; the filmmakers always have something cooking, throwing in a few good action sequences… but the jokes fall flat and the story is a little too silly at times.
