After the suicide of their father, teenagers Andy and Piper (Billy Barratt, Sora Wong) move in with a foster parent, Laura (Sally Hawkins), but their new home has disturbing secrets.

The directors followed up on Talk to Me (2022) with this horror movie that presents a gruesome, off-putting tale involving occultism and a convoluted attempt to bring a dead child back to life.

Perhaps a blind girl and a kidnapped boy can help Hawkins in her demented quest? She is terrific in a, for her, unusual role, and so are Barratt and Wong as the siblings who end up in her care.
