THE LAW’S REACH NEVER STRETCHED THIS FAR.
A reboot of the comedy franchise that was enthusiastically greeted by American critics… but in truth it’s no better than 33 ⅓, which had a similar blend of hit-or-miss jokes, many of which are simply cringeworthy.
Still, there are moments when the silliness puts a smile on your face. Liam Neeson is no Leslie Nielsen, but gives it a fair go; Pamela Anderson is fun to watch as a femme fatale and Danny Huston’s nefarious tech mogul a worthy replacement for Ricardo Montalban and Robert Goulet.
