The Morales family hire a friendly young woman (Maika Monroe) as their nanny, little dreaming that she has a fiery connection to them.

A remake of the 1992 thriller that tries to be a little less obvious than the original by complicating the relationship between the women, both sexually and in terms of a dark secret that sends Polly into Caitlyn’s life.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Monroe are good, but the movie’s only so-so, with the violent ending telegraphed in one of the first scenes.
