After trying to evict a homeless man who lives in the basement of a building, only to see him committing suicide, bailiff Orsolya (Eszter Tompa) is tormented by her guilty conscience.

Inspired by Rossellini’s Europe ’51 (1952), Radu Jude made a comedy-drama that serves as a talky but fitfully engaging comment on the state of Romania, its relationship with Hungary – and above all, how we view those less fortunate.

All over the place, but there are diverting scenes and conversations that grab you.
