THEY GREW UP IN THE AGE OF THE CLIMATE CRISIS…
In her directing debut, Helena Molin follows a group of young teenage climate activists over several years, including Greta Thunberg, from the moment when they started protesting outside the Swedish parliament, through the rise of the global Fridays for Future movement, to the current situation when the activists have added a burning commitment to the Free Palestine cause.
A heartfelt portrait of youthful enthusiasm waning over the years for several reasons, including a lack of real progress when it comes to the climate; it’s also a journey of sorts to maturity or acceptance of life beyond the activism.
Starts out fresh-faced, ends with cynicism; perhaps, much like the movement itself, the film will struggle to reach the masses.
