When he finally locates the Sword of Power, Adam Glenn (Nicholas Galitzine) is transported from Earth to Eternia where he was a young prince, facing the evil Skeletor (Jared Leto).

This reboot goes for the same blend of tongue-in-cheek fantasy and comedy as the 2023 releases Barbie and Dungeons & Dragons. In their attempts to bring depth and deliver heartfelt messages, the filmmakers try to do too much, resulting in an overlong movie.

Still, engaging enough, with a winningly goofy performance by Galatzine and a terrific score.
