Director Dag Johan Haugerud was inspired by Kieslowski’s Three Colors trilogy as he embarked on a project that would have different settings and characters, but share certain themes.
This film begins with a chimney sweep (Jan Gunnar Røise) and his supervisor (Thorbjørn Harr) sharing a peculiar dream involving David Bowie and a homosexual encounter that may or may not be emotionally significant (just ask his wife).
Masculinity is challenged throughout the film; uneven, but the thoughtful, human and probing attitude helps. Engaging music score by Peder Capjon Kjellsby.
