SOMETIMES RULES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN…

Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith) kidnaps a doctor (Bahar Soomekh) and tells her that she must help her save the life of her mentor, Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), who’s dying of cancer.

This chapter suffers from the same annoying audio effects as the last film and indulges in tiresome torture porn; it goes on for almost two hours.

However, I am impressed that the filmmakers actually manage to move the story forward in a way that’s interesting enough, crosscutting between Jigsaw on the operation table, a few flashbacks and the sufferings of a new victim.
