Eden

INSPIRED BY THE ACCOUNTS OF THOSE WHO SURVIVED.

In the 1920s, a German couple (Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby) who have built a solitary new life on one of the Galapagos Islands, find their peace disturbed by several newcomers, sparking conflicts and tension.

Based on accounts of what took place on the island of Floreana, the filmmakers mount an intriguing and handsomely produced survival thriller with some elements that are close to camp, especially Ana de Armas’s delicious turn as the wicked ”Baroness” who arrives with two male servants/lovers.

Rooting for most of these people may be tough, but the cast is good.
