HOLD ON TO YOUR COCONUTS.
As in the case of so many live-action versions of beloved animated Disney classics, there was reason for concern. But this one became a massive hit; if you enjoyed the 2002 original, you’ll like this one too.
The story is the same, with a boisterous alien being adopted by a six-year-old girl on a Hawaii island, who has no idea that her ”dog” is hunted by other aliens.
Somehow, the film manages to run for an extra half-hour in spite of lacking novel new ideas… but you won’t really mind, because of its pace and excellent CGI effects.
