PAYBACK IS A MOTHER.

After the death of her father, Shaun Russell (Gabrielle Union) goes to his isolated, hi-tech mansion together with her kids, preparing to sell it… but then a gang of criminals break in.

Union is the best thing about this thriller, as a mom who has to use her every resource to save her kids and outwit the bad guys. The film comes off as contrived and mediocre at the same time, with a house that only seems to exist for this particular moment.

Bland villains, but OK moments of tension.
