LIFE’S GREATEST MYSTERY: LOVE.
As Enola and Tewkesbury (Millie Bobby Brown, Louis Partridge) prepare to get married in Malta, Sherlock (Henry Cavill) is suddenly kidnapped; once again, the family face Moriarty (Sharon Duncan-Brewster).
The first film in the franchise to not really offer anything new. This time, Enola ponders the risk of surrendering her independence; much like the previous films, the story also has an activist bent, targeting colonialism (which motivates Moriarty).
Maltese locations give the film a pleasant shot of vitamin D, much needed whenever the story begins to sag.
