After the death of her abusive husband, Alice (Souheila Yacoub) finds herself trapped in a house together with his family, and a demon who inhabits them one by one.

There’s a lot of life in the Evil Dead formula, especially when Sam Raimi hires interesting new horror talents to bring their special touch. The Infested director throws his lead character into a bloody process to liberate herself from her in-laws and the grip that her husband had on her, in a gory and increasingly bonkers film.

Devilishly entertaining, until that superfluous last act that looks more like The Terminator.
