FEAR REACHES NEW HEIGHTS.
After climbing a decommissioned 2,000-feet TV tower in the middle of a desert, Becky and Shiloh (Grace Caroline Currey, Virginia Gardner) find themselves suddenly stranded.
The director was inspired by an actual tower in California for this hair-raising survival thriller. Hard to believe at times, but we sure want to find out how they’re gonna get out of this jam.
Technically a mixed bag; good stunts and visual ideas, but effects are so-so. The story could’ve been tighter near the end, but the two leads are fine.
2022-U.S.-U.K. 107 min. Color. Directed by Scott Mann. Cast: Grace Caroline Currey (Becky Connor), Virginia Gardner (Shiloh Hunter), Mason Gooding (Dan Connor), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (James Conner).
Trivia: In order to secure a PG-13 rating, the many ”fucks” uttered in the film were removed by digitally altering the actors’ faces and redubbing dialogue with the help of AI.
