Dalton Lambert (Ty Simpkins) is going to college, but even if the memories that he and his father (Patrick Wilson) share are thoroughly repressed, The Further hasn’t gone away.

The fifth film in this series marks the directing debut of Wilson and continues the story years after the second chapter. We can still feel for this family that has done its share of battling demons over the years; this time, focus lies on the contentious relationship between father and son.

A few effective scenes, but the attempt to make a frat house into a hall of horrors is far from enough.
