THOU SHALT NOT STEAL.

Small-time criminal Eddie Barrish (Bill Skarsgård) finds an unlocked luxury SUV and jumps in… only to learn that he’s walked straight into a trap.

This remake of an Argentine 2019 thriller locks us up with Skarsgård, who’s tortured physically and psychologically by the wealthy and insane Anthony Hopkins (who’s heard but not seen until near the end). Watching the young criminal try to figure out a way to get out of his situation is part of the fun.

The ending is spectacular, but the film’s thrills are for the most part more cheap than genuinely exciting.
