Almost ten years after the last movie, this third entry in the series showed that commercially there’s still life in the concept, even if artistically it’s all smoke and mirrors.

It’s hard to care much for magic tricks that rely on visual effects in a movie, and neither story nor villain are thrilling enough, but there’s plenty of charisma and chases to keep audiences amused.
