
WE’VE GOT THE FUTURE UNDER CONTROL.
In 2028, a corporation that specializes in robot technology finds the perfect candidate for their new part-man/part-machine product in a cop (Joel Kinnaman) who was almost killed by a bomb.
This remake of the 1987 classic purported to take a more scientific approach, which it does to some extent. However, some of the changes to the story are less effective and that goes for the satire as well.
The cast is fine, but there’s no tension, no edge, and the sense of pointlessness isn’t easily shaken.
