A widowed computer programmer (David Rysdahl) begins using a beta version of a companion robot called Sara (Lily Sullivan), but she becomes disturbingly attached to him.
A spinoff from the M3GAN films that illustrates two highly relevant themes in our times: loneliness and the likelihood that we’ll use AI and robots as a cure for it. You could almost expect Michael Douglas in the lead, as the robot’s jealousy grows worse.
Sullivan is good, but it’s a predictable story about the meaning of authentic love.
