When Pan Am flight 103 crashes into the Scottish town of Lockerbie in 1988, American and British authorities compete in the hunt for the terrorists who planted a bomb on the plane.

This miniseries focuses mostly on the investigation leading up to those responsible for the deaths of 270 people that Christmas, but also tries to paint a moving picture of how the surviving citizens of Lockerbie, and Scottish investigators, were affected.

At its most interesting, the series shows how the pieces were (literally) put together. Well made, but far from an emotional knock-out.
