20 years after working as an assistant for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) at Runway Magazine, Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is hired behind Priestly’s back as her new features editor, tasked with improving the magazine’s respectability.

The least amount of effort has been devoted to the story in this formulaic sequel, but there’s a number of ingredients that save the day. The fact that two decades have passed brings a new dynamic to the relationship between the characters; the cast seem to relish getting back together.

Much of the film is also spot on in its depiction of how the world of media and fashion has changed.
