SIGHTS & SOUNDS FAR BEYOND ANYTHING YOU’VE TESTED… TAKE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!
Two teenage girls fall victim to an escaped gang of killers, sadists and rapists – who eventually find themselves in the house where one of the girls’ parents live.
Wes Craven’s directing debut is a notorious ”video nasty”, inspired by Bergman’s Virgin Spring (1960). There’s no budget here to speak of; the grotesque violence is an attempt by Craven to show what the real thing looks like, but it comes off as exploitative more than anything else.
No tension, but a little bit of slapstick.
